Juneteenth Passport

Issue #4

Juneteenth Legacy in motion…

Juneteenth is not just about the dates — it’s about the stories, the spaces, and the people who continue to breathe life into our history. This week, we’re bringing you two powerful reminders of why this season matters:

One, where Black fashion meets Black freedom at San Antonio’s Green Book sites.
And two, a raw and necessary film that asks: What does it mean to be Black enough?

Let’s get into it.

CULTURE - JUNETEENTH
Black Fashion Meets The Green Book

Flavors of Travels

What happens when Black fashion walks where Black history stood? 👑✨

For Juneteenth, we partnered with designer + model Jessica Meshaun to bring Styled By Legacy: Fashion x The Green Book to life — blending Black fashion with San Antonio’s historic Green Book sites.

The Negro Motorist Green Book wasn’t just a travel guide — it was a map for freedom and survival during Jim Crow. Now, over 80 Green Book locations have been rediscovered right here in San Antonio — and we’re telling those stories through culture, style, and resilience.

This is more than a photoshoot — it’s a living archive.

Hosted tonight at 6:00 PM by the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum.
