Soulful Sundays Hit Different

Hey Family,

It’s a Sunday for the soul—and we’re wrapping this Juneteenth weekend in full Black brilliance. Whether you’ve been showing up in protest, in praise, or in pure joy, today’s about pausing to reflect, reconnect, and rejoice.

We know the world moves fast, but today we slow it down. We breathe. We gather. We feast. Because rest is resistance, and joy is power.

So lace up those sandals, call your cousins, and step into this moment with us.

CULTURE - JUNETEENTH
Resting, Rising & Rebuilding Community

Flavors of Travels

We’re holding space for both remembrance and revelry today—because our history demands both.

Resting, Rising & Rebuilding Community
🕦 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM | St. Paul Square
Come hungry. Leave inspired. This luncheon and panel honors the Black women who’ve long carried the torch of community building—from Reconstruction to right now. Curated and hosted by Maria Williams of In the Eye of the Beholder, expect real talk, real food, and real healing.

Party in the Park
🕕 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Pittman-Sullivan Park
We’re closing the night with rhythm and flavor. Grab a plate, dance it out, and celebrate with your people. DJ sets, food trucks, games for the little ones—this is for the whole fam. Proceeds benefit the Davis Scott YMCA, because liberation includes lifting each other up.

Sunday is for the culture. It’s about remembering who we are and celebrating how far we’ve come—and how far we’re going.

🛂 SHARE THE LOVE, BUILD THE COMMUNITY

Take tomorrow to rest. Reset. Reclaim your energy.

We’ll be back on June 18 with more experiences that center Black joy, history, and travel as liberation.

Until then, stay bold. Stay rooted. Stay ready.
