Special Juneteenth Newsletter
Issue #3
Happy Monday, Culture Travels Fam!
It’s been a powerful start to Juneteenth season here in San Antonio—and we’ve got the inside scoop to prove it.
Big news if you missed it: Culture Travels Media has been tapped to help tell the story of San Antonio’s Juneteenth celebration, and we couldn’t be more honored.
We kicked off last week with two major moments:
📚 The African American Book Festival brought joy, culture, and storytelling to Carver Library.
🎨 The 1st Annual Juneteenth Youth Art Contest highlighted local brilliance from our youngest creatives.
And surprise... we also dropped an exclusive interview with Gina Ortiz Jones, now officially the newly elected mayor of San Antonio, where she shared her favorite Juneteenth picks and why this celebration matters for the city’s future.
Oh—and did we mention the Juneteenth Passport? Yep. We’re building a cultural experience you won’t want to miss. Scroll down for a first look.
