CULTURE - Flavors of Travel Episode 3
HAVE YOU EVER HAD ETHIOPIAN DORO WAT?
Doro Wat is considered Ethiopia’s national fish - or one of them - and during major holidays like Genna (Ethiopian Christmas) and Fasika (Easter), it’s traditionally served with a hard boiled egg (@flavors_of_travel_marie favorite lol) on each plate as a symbol of blessing a new life.
In episode 3 of our food travel show, Marie visited African Village an Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurant in #sanantonio to learn more about their food and the culture behind it. Then, she did some shopping and cooked Doro Wat in her own kitchen.
In each episode, we want to not only educate our audience on the destinations we visit and the food Marie eats, but the culture and people who make both special.
We’re currently in discussion to take the show to:
1. Antigua and Barbuda
2. Barbados
3. Argentina
