The Weekly Passport
Issue #34

Welcome Back Traveling Friends!

Welcome back to your Weekly Passport newsletter - your hub for all things travel and culture!
We’re excited to reintroduce Culture Travels Media, a Black-owned media brand obsessed with covering the best in travel, culture, and experiences.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to amplify Black stories in travel, honor diverse cultures worldwide, and inspire our community to explore the world. We bring this mission to life through our magazine, travel shows, and events, offering empowering, inclusive, and culturally rooted products that celebrate the richness of the global Black experience.
In just a few short years, we’ve:
Launched a magazine that tells untold stories.
Hosted community events that bring Black travelers together.
Partnered with like-minded brands to expand the impact of Black representation in travel.
And this is just the beginning. In 2025, we’re doubling down on our mission—pushing boundaries, sharing bolder stories, and creating opportunities that reflect the beauty and power of our collective journeys.
This year, we invite you to explore with us, connect with us, and grow with us as we continue to celebrate the vibrant intersection of travel, culture, and the Black experience.
Let’s make 2025 unforgettable! ✈️✨

Travel Spotlight: How Kenya Changed My Life

Carmen in Lamu, Kenya
Kenya wasn’t just a destination—it was a transformative journey that reshaped how Carmen saw the world and herself. From the vibrant communities in Nairobi to planting symbolic roots in Homa Bay, every moment taught her the power of connection, self-respect, and authentic living.
The women of Kenya inspired her to be stronger, more graceful, and grounded. The country’s breathtaking beauty and deep sense of community reminded me of the importance of staying connected to culture and the earth.
Ready to explore Kenya for yourself? Read Carmen’s full story here to learn how this unforgettable destination could change your life, too. ✈️
