21 DAYS UNTIL RICHMOND, VIRGINIA!

In Weekly Passport Issue #19, we announced a collaboration between Culture Travels and Visit Richmond. July 11- 15 Culture Travels will head to Richmond, Virginia for a one-week exploration of BLK RVA - a collaborative initiative between Richmond Regional Tourism (RRT) and 20+ Black community leaders. We have received our itinerary and below we’ve shared a few places to you expect to see and learn about during our visit. Check them out:

MARY LOU’S SOUL DINING EXPERIENCE

One of the restaurants we will visit is Mary Lou’s, an upscale soul food dining experience.

We can’t wait to try their famous Mac N Cheese and Deviled Eggs!

WALKING THE WARD TOUR WITH GARY FLOWERS

Led by community-favorite Gary L. Flowers, we will take the 20-stop walking tour of the Historic Jackson Ward, in the downtown section of Richmond, Virginia. Tours include historic educational, economic, religious, and social institutions that inspired the name "Black Wall Street", and "The Harlem of the South", and reflect the Ward's culturally historic past.

A CULTURE TRAVELS PASSPORT STAMP?

We’re expanding our brand! For over a year now, our team has worked on the idea of developing a Culture Travels branded passport stamp to authenticate our brand products, experiences, and stories.

Over the last few months, we’ve worked with designers testing several design ideas. Below, we’ve shared a few examples, but we will announce the official design on July 11 - when we leave for BLK RVA!
